This Annual Concert benefits Wintershelter, an initiative of Philadelphia's Community Outreach Partnership - http://www.communityoutreachpartnership.org/home Each year, for the past 13 years, Liebesfreud has offered a pair of Beethoven String Quartets in celebration of Beethoven's birthday. In year 10, our cellist, Charlie, couldn't be with us but thanks to the generosity and artistry of Hai-Ye Ni, the "show" was able to go on as scheduled. This year, Dave is unable to be part of the celebration. Rather than attempt to replace him (after all, how many musicians would even admit to playing viola?) we decided this would be the perfect year to program something "a little different". So we've expanded our ranks and will be presenting Beethoven's "Septet". Don't miss this unusual, jolly and seldom performed work, unique in the annals of chamber music! After all, you're getting 7 for the price of 4 - and it's for a very worthy cause.
