Liebesfreud

~ January 27, 2006 ~ ~  the world celebrated the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth.  In Philadelphia, Liebesfreud presented the only free chamber music concert in the United States to mark this auspicious occasion.  World renowned clarinetist, Ricardo Morales, was our guest on this date and now, fifty programs later, he graciously returns, joining us in this concert's feature work - a supreme masterpiece in the chamber music literature - the Brahms Clarinet Quintet.  The program opens with Schubert's searing Quartettsatz and Mendelssohn's glowing Theme and Variations, op. 81  This performance is being held in the Dorrance H. Hamilton Rooftop Garden (indoor). Seating is limited to 200 for this concert. Please arrive early.
