Probably without his inestimable contribution in the Opera genre, Giuseppe Verdi would not belong in the pantheon of great composers.
Still though, last year Liebesfreud was so looking forward to celebrating - with the rest of the world - the bicentennial of his birth... especially because his STRING QUARTET -unjustly neglected! - is a truly great work of genius.
Some of you may remember our disappointment when we had to postpone its [November 2013] performance because Dave was recovering from a hand injury....
