Deep appreciation to Geoffrey and Philip for spending two wonderful hours with the Exploritas group on May 27th. We all learned a great deal and enjoyed the discussions about both music and personal experiences. Well done.

Great website! Thanks for posting your calendar. Hopefully I can get in to see one of your concerts at the Art Alliance . My father used to be a member year ago. Good luck to you and your quartet!

Dear Phil,

I just heard you and your very sweet violin playing on public radio in LA! Marci called this afternoon to tell me she heard your name on the radio, so I found the station and the show on the internet and listened to the piece about your trip into rural China just after the earthquake. It's a joy to know you haven't changed one bit from the adventurous (ha! understatement!), thoughtful guy I remember so well. Best wishes and much continued happiness for the new year! Sara Ann

Thank you - musicians of Liebesfreud - for your tremendous support of CORP and for another amazing Beethoven's Birthday concert!
We made close to $2,000 this year!

Happy Holidays,

Philip - thank you for playing for our men during our noon meal today. You cannot know what this contribution means to our men, the homeless men of Philadelphia, as we seek to provide them the dignity and respect in addition to nourishment and opportunities for new beginnings.

Phil, Thanks for your elegantly written account of your trip to the earthquake area in China. Your courage and compassion was clearly rewarded by the love engendered. We were not surprised that you chose to make that trip, because you always demonstrate a special warmth and strength. Fondly, Eric & Marilyn

I read the article about Phil Kate's trip to China. Wow, what an incredible experience. It touched me very deeply. I especially enjoyed reading about you going to different rooms in the pediatric ward of the hospital. This was very touching. Thank you for sharing your experience. I will pray more deeply for the Chinese people.

Read in your News section about Phil's trip to the China Earthquake Region. What a wonderful read. What an amazing man. I wanted to leave a comment, but I was speechless when I finished. I wanted to click on the "comments" button but sat staring with filled eyes. So after a little time to think, here it is.

Hello David, Charlie and Phillip,

I don't know if you remember me from from free-lance days in Phila. c. 1984-1996, but I am delighted to see you playing together, and enjoued seeing your web-site.

My son Andrew, age 17 and a bassist, will be coming to study at Strings Int'l Music Camp this summer and hopes to participate in the chamber music program. We are very much looking forward to his time there.

I am looking forward to re-connecting with old friends and acquaintances too!

You have a wonderful and charming web-site. I hope to hear you play!

Sincerely,

Alicia Randisi-Hooker

Hey Mr. Forbes!
GREAT WEBSITE! I think it's awesome! I never knew that you played in Carneigie Hall (probably spelled that wrong :]) 4 TIMES! That's soooo cool! And to everyone else...I'm not so sure about the shorts on the instruments??? Hmm....Mr. Forbe's new phenomenon....dressing up his cello :] Well, I gotta go! I'm supposed to be doing my homework...hehe.

Rockin' website. Can't wait to try the trivia. Probably a bit over the top for my high school students, but I'm going to make them give it a try anyway. Cheers - CVB (Philly Orch Rox!)

Love the viola in a pair of shorts. Reminds me a bit of Ron Thomason's "arm sock."

Looking forward to hearing ya'll.

I heard your marvelous recording on WRTI. I hope to attend one of your concerts soon. I hope you will have more at the Ethical Society or in that area. If you ever want to perform there with a harpist, please consider me. My website is www.sauldavis.com
I once played in the Copland Clarinet Concerto under Geoffrey Michaels at Haverford College.
Thank you.

Hey Mr. Kates,
I love your site, especially the picture with the two violins laying together in front of the tree. I also like to picture of the viola w/ shorts.

Seems like you guys have an awesome time playing together. Keep up the good work !!

Greatly enjoyed the concert on Friday. The Clarinet Quintet was bouyant and gorgeous, and the "Haydn" Quartet was a real treat. Thank you.

No scientific reason behind it, but I'll guess 980.

Hope I'm not too late! But even so, this is a good chance to say thank you so much for the concert on Mozart's birthday. It was truly wonderful.

999 seems like a nice number.

Happened to be in Philadelphia on business last Thurs. and Fri. I saw a flyer for your All-Mozart concert while at the Kimmel Center to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra. I was attracted by the opportunity to hear Ricardo Morales and greatly enjoyed the quartet. The choral group was a wonderful way to end the concert. I consider myself fortunate to have learned of the concert in time to attend.

I just want to say that I heard your Beethoven celebration concert in December at the Trinity Center and a couple of your programs in the Kimmel and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's Mozart program -especially with that fabulous Ricardo Morales!
Also, you should let people know about the private house concerts you do - I heard your Schubert cello quintet a couple years ago - WOW!
Keep it up!
